2019 SCVMA Math Olympiad for High School Seniors

Dear High School Math coaches or teachers:

This is an invitation for your top three senior math students to participate in the Santa Clara Valley Math Association Olympiad on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California.

The Senior Math Olympiad includes approximately 25 problems that are to be solved in 90 minutes. No calculators, electronic devices, cell phones or iPads may be used. There will be a 30-minute activity for all participants following the contest, followed by awards and prizes.

The high school math coach or math teacher will register the students online. Each school may enter up to three 12th grade students. Teachers who are current members of the SCVMA pay a school entry fee of $30; nonmembers pay $45, which will include their SCVMA membership.  

Top scoring students will have their names published in local newspapers, and will have the opportunity to include their participation in college applications.
